The Swim-soup Party

Lydia loves to wear her swimsuit. She wears it a lot. She wears clothes out and about, but when we get home she rushes upstairs and puts her swimsuit on right away. She asks if we can go swimming outside on a regular basis and she knows every neighborhood that has a pool.

She requested a swim suit party for her birthday. How could I dash the little girls dreams? She is only four. It is not her fault that her birthday is at the end of November. So, we had a swimsuit party on one of the coldest days on November 2013. It was warm and fun in our house though.
Her friends wore their swimsuits. I wore my swimsuit...sort of. We played with bubbles, we danced, we played with balloons, we put on lotion, we laid in the on beach towels, ate food/cake, and opened presents and at the end everyone played with dress ups and toys.

She has been asking for a rainbow swimsuit with polka dots and a bow since this summer. This swimsuit does not exist. So, I had a friend from church make this cake! She did a fabulous job.

In her most comfortable outfit! She loves this swimsuit and luckily we have two of the same suit.

She got these four roses (2 purple and 2 pink) delivered from her dad. She was very happy about them, even though these pictures don't tell that story. She was being difficult to photograph.
