Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving was celebrated at my house this year. My mom, dad, Kathryn, Mattie (their dog), Ken and his girlfriend, Xiao Hua were all here for the feast. Ken decided that we had to have a Turducken. So, he ordered the bird and it came to me Fedex. I defrosted it and we had to figure out how to cook the bird because it was not the same as a normal turkey. We worked to get everything ready for the afternoon feast and we had fun doing that. The food was yummy and we had a nice time talking and saying what we are thankful for. Many went down for the tradition Thanksgiving Day nap, we went on a walk, and Ben and I went over to his parent's house that night.

Overall, it was a huge success. I am grateful that my family was willing to make the trip to KC...even though they hit traffic and it took them longer than normal to make the drive. It was great having them here. We were able to go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving, we went to the movies and just spent time together, which was really nice.
Here is the Thanksgiving picture slideshow and a picture of the long awaited Turducken...it is cut in half in this picture:
