Quirky

I was tagged a few weeks ago by my friend Tara, so here are my responses.

6 Quirky things about ME

1. I am always mega prepared. I have always been this way. I think…what if…and I want to be prepared for all scenarios. My co-workers make fun of me because they can ask me if I have something and I always do (lint roller, floss, hammer, nail file, etc.) I have all of these things, plus more, in my classroom at work. When I was in High School I always had "extra" things in my backpack. My purse is always loaded with what I deem the necessities…Leatherman, Advil, extra pen, "green" shopping bag, lotion, Chap Stick, etc! When I go on a trip, I make sure that I have everything that I might need. I wish I could be one of those people who just pick up and go or who only carry three things in their purse or who just borrow from others…but I am not.
   
2. Ben hates this one…but I do not mind cleaning the toilet with just a wash rag instead of the toilet brush. I find it to be must faster to just clean it real quick by hand. I always wash my hands directly after, so no worries.
   
3. Before I get into bed, the sheets, duvet and my pillow must be just right. I do not like getting into a bed that is a mess. Ben makes fun of me because I make the bed before I get in it…but it is just one of those things.
   
4. I have a major phone phobia. I do not like calling people. I do not mind calling my friends. But I do not like making "cold" calls to anyone. I do not like to call stores, the pizza guy, people at church, and the Dr. etc. I have to have a dialog with myself before I call people, to prep myself for the phone call. I guess I have a fear of saying the wrong thing or sounding like an idiot.
   
5. I have three quirky things about candy.
   
   1. I fold Starburst wrappers. After I eat a starburst, I fold the wrapper up into a nice little square. You can always tell which wrappers are mine because they are all neatly folded.
      
   2. I only eat Sour Patch Kids two at a time. Red and yellow must be paired and orange and green must be combined (and that is my favorite combination.) I started this a long time ago. I can remember doing this in Utah…so I was 7 or 8 years old.
      
   3. I think that there is a difference between the white and the pink Good & Plenty's. The white have a more distinct taste. We have tested it as a family and I can always tell what color I am eating. I think that I have about a 90% record of guessing what color I am eating. I love Good & Plenty so I guess that is why I am an expert. (It might be all in my head…but I can tell a small difference.)
