We are out of school again today (we were out of school on Thursday also). A nice wintery mix hit the metro. Ice, snow and freezing cold temps. The side streets were not able to melt yesterday and this morning a nice freezing drizzle came along...when the roads are not safe we do not have school. So...a surprise four day weekend for me. We now have five days to make up in May...but that is not too bad considering we were scheduled to get out of school on May 16th. But, I think this means that teachers will have to come back for a work day after memorial day! Yuck!
By the way...we have gotten 8-10 more inches here in Kansas City than the average year! This has been a snowy, icy, cold, crazy winter!
My husband has sent me a nice to do list for today. I did our taxes yesterday. That was a process and really took it out of me! But...we are all good with Uncle Sam and we are even getting some money back from our State returns. Yahoo! :-)
We are heading up north to Wisconsin today. We are going to drive part of the way...to Ames Iowa and then the rest of the way to a city in Wisconsin...we will buying a new (used) car! We found it online but we are going to check it out and drive it before we buy it. We are looking forward to the roadtrip (8 hours to buy a car! I think it will be worth it!) If we get there and the car is not what we wanted...at least I can say I have been to Wisconsin and add it to my map of states I have visited! But...if the car is as great as they say it is...and we love it! We are going to buy it!!!!!! I am very excited because we have been looking at cars for over a year...and now it is a reality! I will post pictures of our adventure and of our new car (hopefully) when I get back! Wish us luck!

Good luck with the car Little po. I hope that all is well with it and that you get to purchase it. does this mean I can take you to work in May and toole around in your car? :-)
Love you!
We will have to see about that! This car is an automatic...but it is a V6 so maybe too much power for you.
Um..I own a V6 thank you very much. I only get in trouble when I drive Mom's car and forget it isn't as heavy as mine and peel out of the temple parking lot.
oh boy! can't wait to meet the new silver beauty! congrats congrats!
