Proud New Owners

In the driver's seat, in front of the dealership.

On the open road...through the rearview mirror

LOVE the car. My new "baby"

Ben, cannot wait to get behind the wheel (without me in the car):-)

Sunset in Iowa on Friday. Very beautiful.

Frozen landscape.

Mini mountains of western Minnesota (close to La Crosse)

Ice Sculptures

Ben and I went on a little roadtrip this week...if you call 850 miles round trip a "little" roadtrip. We left on Friday and drove to Ames Iowa. We stayed at a Fairfield Inn (compliments of my Dad) and left at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday morning to drive the rest of the way to Sparta, Wisconsin. Sparta is only about 30 miles east of the Minnesota stateline. We test drove the car (Ben got the car up to 110 on the test drive) and we inspected it the best we could. I fell in love at first sight. Ben had to look everything over and ask all the right questions. (He did a great job!)It is a sharp looking car and has all of the options that we were looking for and price was right. We sat down and did all the paper work and off we went...the long trek back home. Ben let me drive the SAAB all the way home. It was fun playing with the seat (automatic of course...a luxery I have been without for 5 1/2 years)and checking out all of the settings and functions. I listened to conference all the way home. It made the trip go by quickly and the ride in SAAB was awesome. I kept eeeeeeeeeeeing (for those of you who know what that is) when I would talk to family members on the phone or just randomly in the car by myself...EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE could be heard because I was really excited and could not really believe that we actually bought the car and I was driving it home to Kansas City. The road trip was nice. Ben and I talked pretty much the whole way up to Wisconsin. Everything was snow covered and frozen. It was beautiful up there. I would like to visit in the summer.
So, now the SAAB is in my garage...it fits perfectly! The puppies love the new ride and they fit perfectly. I am grateful to have it. I will give you all rides when you come and visit me. I just hope I do not get speeding tickets...it is really fast and can get away from you if you are not careful! LOVE IT!!!!

Oh.My.Gosh. It is just absolutely beautiful! CONGRATS! I can't WAIT for a ride! (i'm home march 12th btw...so book me a trip) the crazy thing is how good YOU look IN it! Lady...you were born to drive nice cars! hehe! Ya know, it has always been nice to ditch my crappy ride for a spin in yours. Mustangs at 16, thunderbirds at 21, you've ALWAYS had a sweet ride! (or at least access to it) But borrow no more...now it is officially YOURS! YEAH!! (ps... what a great hubby you have too! makin your dreams come true!) :)

Pretty!!!

You know, I was a little hesitant when you mentioned wagon, but seeing that car changes my mind completely. It's a pretty sharp little car. I wouldn't even mind owning one.

Can't wait to see it in person.

Congrats!!

Did you Dad care that you didn't buy a Ford, or doesn't he care now that he's retired?

Jared, I am not sure if you are going to read this but...no my dad does not feel that much allegiance to Ford now that he is retired. He always knew that I was a sucker for european cars. It is a pretty sweet ride!
