We visited Reindeer Lane again this year on the day after Thanksgiving (Lydia's birthday this year). The weather was chilly but not too cold. The sun was shining and we had a good choice of trees. Ben pulled the girls on a sled and we weaved in and out of the trees, until we found the perfect one. Ben chopped down the tree and the girls yelled "timber" and then helped get the tree off of him. We took the tree to the drop off location to get all ready and then Ben pulled the girls up the hill on the sled. The girls and I went on a horse "carriage" ride.
The girls were excited to go talk with Santa. They told him what they wanted for Christmas and they posed for some pictures. We ate popcorn and hot chocolate and then headed home!
It was a fun day and now that the tree is set up in our house, I have decided that it is one of my favorites. I love the height, shape and overall look of the tree.
