We had a day filled with family and fun. (I cut my hair. I style is different almost everyday...until I decide how I like it...)
Ben and I took Avery and the dogs to the lake. A favorite past time of the dogs and we had not been to the lake for a few years it seems like. Lydia got to go to a movie with Opa and Kathryn. Everyone had fun!
We had a BBQ at my parents house and we blew up a few fireworks and the kids enjoyed the sparklers.
This aunt sure loves this girl...because she held a sparkler for her!
This girl is a daredevil. She loved being in the action!
We ended the evening by going downtown to our "spot" to watch the fireworks. My parents even came to see. We love our "spot" because you can see fireworks going on everywhere in Kansas City and you get a great view of the KC Riverfest show. We had fun watching the fireworks and enjoyed the beautiful weather we are having in Kansas City.
Grateful for the freedom that we enjoy. I love this holiday very much. I am glad we live in this great country and we were able to spend time with family and friends on this great day. God Bless America! Land of the Free! Home of the Brave...(so many brave military who protect and defend...)!!!
