PayDay

As I teacher, I was paid once a month on the twentieth. Today is September 20th, the first payday for teachers of the year. In celebration of being a mother and having the opportunity to stay home with Lydia, I would like to write about how I will be paid today.

Lydia will smile at me and laugh and giggle.

Lydia will hold her arms out to me when she is sad or hurt and I will scoop her up and hold her and make her feel better.

Lydia will make motorboat noises at me.

Lydia will mimic me and think she is pretty cool.

I will watch Lydia play, crawl and pull herself up.

Lydia will do something new today and I will be here to view it for the first time.

Lydia will fall asleep on my shoulder and cuddle me for a little while.

Lydia was standing up in her crib this morning to greet me...a first and I got to witness it!

I cannot think of a better pay day! Even better, I get them everyday!!!
