Here it goes:
The dogs are hilarious...as always. I caught them both in the chair the other day. Allie was on top of Brody (poor Brody) and they were just too cute. I love the entertainment that they provide in our lives. We laugh at them everyday!

We had to say goodbye to the Contour last week. A man rear ended Ben and totaled the Contour. The dogs were in the car, but they were okay. Ben went to the hospital to get checked out, but he was okay. The man does not have insurance...so we are pretty bummed about that because we are out a car. We are glad that Ben is safe and healthy. I was sad because this is the first car that I purchased. We owned this car. We paid it off, we drove to St. Louis together to buy it, it has taken us on a lot of trips and there are a lot of memories attached to this car. I do not have pictures...but I will post some soon when I get them.
I kidnapped Ben on Sunday night and took him to a Bed and Breakfast in Excelsior Springs. We went for a "drive" on Sunday afternoon and ended up at this really great Inn. Ben had no idea! He said: "You know I have to work tomorrow, right?" I said: "No you do not. I got it all taken care of." He realized that I had worked with his boss to contrive a plan to clear his schedule for the day. We had a great time in our Cabana Suite. We played a card game from Germany and talked. We did not even turn on the TV! It was fabulous. We had a great breakfast on Monday morning. After breakfast we took pictures and then said goodbye. We drove up north to Jamesport (a little Amish community). We looked around the shops and bought a few things. Then we headed back. It was a nice little getaway!

The Inn at Crescent Lake. (Built in 1915)

The Cabana Suite. (Used to be the pool house! I am sure this is a great room during the summer when the pool is open.)

The old ice house. I told Ben at first that this was our room.

Polar Bear Plunge! (Not really.)
We would suggest this B & B to anyone in the area. It was really nice and is probably even better during the spring and summer months!

There are other things that have been going on...
My parents are moving back to KC from Atlanta! We are really looking forward to this!
A large tree fell in our front yard a few days ago. It is still there, but when we get to it, it will provide more firewood for scout camp and girls camp.

There are probably things that I am forgetting. I will edit this post later if I think of anything else! Busy season is about to start for the Bailey's!! March through July are crazy months for me! I am looking forward to my third year as Stake Camp Director and I am planning my third 21 day trip with students to Germany. I am trying to teach and fulfill my primary calling on the side! Who knows when I will post next, keep checking in!

YOu didn't tell me about the tree!! That is crazy! I love the pic of Brodi and Alli! So cute! I am so happy for you about your parents moving back, that will be so much fun to have them close again! We are really excited about coming out to visit!
Fun to have your parents back. Where are they going to move to? When are they moving and why? That is just too fun, now if you could get Liz back...
And I love the new hair it is way cute!
So glad that you posted..I've missed you. Very much.
You are the best wife ever! What a fun surprise getaway! :)
The tree!? was there a big stormy wind, or did it just decide it was time to fall?
And I was thinking about our convo about the wreck...I dont have any experience so I'm not sure how it works...but I was thinking that some states require "uninsured motorist" even with liability only coverage. Does that somehow cover Ben's medical bills? What exactly DOES unisured motorist cover? I know we have to have it here in TX, but I'm not sure about MO.
your pup picture is so cute. We are so glad Ben is okay.
