I wanted to share some pictures and some memories of Christmas 2008. I am a little late…but better late than never!
O Tannenbaum! Here is our Christmas tree this year. It was a lovely tree and one of our best smelling trees ever! We got it the weekend after Thanksgiving weekend and it actually stayed up until January 10th!!!! That would be because I was super busy and it was pretty low on the list. I also really enjoyed having my decorations up this year, so I was in no hurry to rip them down. (It was a white Christmas.)
Ben was very excited to get his very own, very first REAL Hot Wheels race track. He had it set up in no time and took it to a few places and raced four year olds! It was hilarious!
Here it is set up in the kitchen of all places. Yes, that is a chair on the table. He was really excited and having a lot of fun.
Ben got me a fancy watch for Christmas. I was really excited. But…I took it back and I am getting a different one. It will be like Christmas morning all over again when I get the other watch!
Here is a picture of the presents…me on the couch waiting "patiently" to open presents and the puppies just glad to be hanging out with us. As you can tell from the picture above, the puppies love to be in all the pictures. It is a fun tradition for them I guess. They got Scoobie Snacks for Christmas. They are still enjoying their treats!
Overall, it was a very nice, low key Christmas. We spent time with Ben's family; we went and got an entire family picture of the Bailey family taken. Ben and I were able to watch a lot of college football bowl games! I was able to stay home a lot and relax; something I really needed to do after a busy semester. We also got to see friends over the break. That was very nice. We spent New Year's Eve at our usually party spot…the Sloan's. We had a lot of fun there…watching the guy jump his motorbike onto the arc de triumph in Las Vegas, we played with the racecars, ate yummy food and talked. It was a nice way to bring in the New Year.
