Goodbye Grandma

I got the call last night that Grandma Kieffer passed away. My aunt and uncles were playing cards with her...she was always very happy when she played cards. She lived a long 88 years; a full life, full of energy. I am grateful for my most recent visit to Utah. I was able to hold her hand, drink a Coca-cola Classic with her and tell her about what has been going on in my life. I will treasure that memory forever. Grandma Kieffer taught me a lot of things and I learned a lot about how to be an awesome Grandma from her. I cannot help but smile when I think of the reunion she had with Grandpa, her siblings and her parents and friends...I am sure that they were happy to see her. I am sad that she is gone, but I am grateful that she will be watching over me and cheering me on from above. I love you, Grandma...God be with you 'til we meet again.

I remember playing cards with Grandma Kieffer around the table at your parents. It was so much fun! She was such a neat lady. What a blessing that you were able to visit her so recently. I am sorry for your loss. Like you said I am sure she was excited to see her husband again.

Doesn't it just bring so much comfort to know without a doubt that you will see her again! I love that Heavenly Father loves us enough to give us eternal families!

I was sad to hear she passed. The things I will remember most about her is playing "butt-kiss" at your house. And at the kidney picnic, she taught everyone how to hula dance.

Such a great lady. She will be missed.
