Patriot Day 2008

I am proud to be an American. I would consider myself a patriotic person. I tear up when I sing the National Anthem and say the Pledge of Allegiance. I have a strong belief in country. I remember vividly the feeling of returning from living in another country for a year; how grateful I was to be back in America, the land of the free and the home of the brave. One of my favorite holidays is the 4th of July when we celebrate our Independence and freedom. I am grateful to the many men and women who have given or dedicated their lives to fight and serve our country. Especially today, I am grateful for the men and women who lost their innocent lives as a result of a terrorist attack. May their memory and sacrifice always be remembered. And during this "election season" may we remember the foundational issues that are most important to keep this nation free, safe and strong.

Great post! You have been busy. I have been "away" from the blogging world for a while and have a lot of catching up to do. Looks like you had fun with the "girls". Tell your mom any time she wants to come out and help me perfect my sewing skills we have a room. How is school going? Wish Liz the best!
