I wanted to go and actually stay a couple of nights, cook food and just hang out at the campsite...and that is what we did. We went up Friday night and set up camp. I made the fire and Ben put up the tent. We stayed up late hanging out by the fire and talking. Saturday morning I got up pretty early because the pups were ready to get up. We made a huge breakfast...enough food to feed about 6 six people. We had sausage, bacon, eggs, and french toast, it was all yummy. We loaded up the puppies and headed over to the lake. The dogs played for hours in the lake...fetching the ball, running the bank, swimming, and trying to join me on my raft. I enjoyed laying on my raft and catching a few rays. Saturday afternoon Ben took a nap and I read my book for a few hours. It was hot in the sun but it was cool in the shade. We made tinfoil dinners on Saturday night for dinner and spent another evening watching the fire and talking. We made some pretty amazing fires! We loaded up and came home on Sunday morning. It was a very restful camping trip and a lot of fun. (Even though I am allergic to September here in KC...ragweed! I sneezed a lot and had to take a lot of medicine but I tried to make the best of it!)

Our Family by the FIRE! (Please notice how big it is...Ben insisted on having the largest fire in the camp.)

Our campsite and me cooking breakfast.

Ben cooking the eggs...trying to take credit for cooking breakfast.

Ben napping in the tent. One of his favorite things to do on a campout! He was knocked out!

Allie in the tall grass...in black and white.

Brody in the grass...can you see her?

The dogs at play...Allie in the weeds and Brody running around.

Allie, very exhausted after a few hours of swimming in the lake.

Brody, after swimming for a few hours in the lake...were does she get her energy? She is too much of a princess to lay down on the hard ground!
