August 2nd was my 27th birthday. Ben led me to believe that when he got home from work he and I would be going to races. So, I slept in some, went swimming with Liz and Tien, went shopping with Liz and Tien and then raced home to get ready to go to the races. I walked in and Ben greeted me at the door...and I saw the living room that was decorated...then I walked upstairs and a bunch of people jumped out and yelled SURPRISE!!!!!!!!! I was in shock. I had no idea. Ben pulled off this really great party. He had a decorating crew, he bought the food, made the invites and he had people cooking. It was great. We had a really nice time. At first I kept saying, "Are we still going to the races?" I had it in my head that we were going to do that, so I was very confused.
It was a nice evening with my brother, the Holbrook's, the Barnhart's, and our neighbors the Hoaglands. We had hamburgers and hotdogs, drank Fitz's (root beer and other flavors...cream soda, orange, grape and orange cream) and ate strawberry shortcake! I had a birthday chair and a birthday hat. It was a great party and Ben did a great job planning it.

YAAAAA! Finally a post! It was a pretty great day! Those Barnhart girls did a GREAT job decorating...and I was a pretty good secret keeper/distraction so that they could come and get it done! I am glad you liked it!
I wish all of us could have been there! So fun! I loves you sister.
