It was a good couch. We kept a scrap of fabric. Ben said that the fabric that was exposed all these years and should have been used and worn...was the same color as the fabric that never saw sunlight. (An amazing blend of nylon and polyester I guess) He took pictures of the underneath to show grandpa's workmanship...the simca seats. It has been in the family since the 60's (we believe...maybe longer) and now it is gone.
So we say, so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, a deux!

I love that couch! I am so glad it had a good home until it fell apart. Wouldn't it be cool to have a list of who made out? I'll start:
1. Mom and Dad Kieffer
2. Kathryn and 2nd boyfriend
3. RCH and her DH
I am sure there are others, so if you're reading this comment..fess up!
4. Dave and Tara
(nah...j/k) although...we HAVE made out in that basement! haha! well, they just don't make em like that anymore huh!? glad you kept a scrap...can't wait to see what you do with it! (something cool I'm sure)
Nooooo!!!! Not the orange couch!!!
I never got the opportunity to make out on the orange couch. I feel as though life has passed me by.
Truly, the end of an era...
Although we didnt make out on it it will always have a special place my heart. When Mac gets home we will have a moment of silence for the couch. LOL. So what is going in place of it?
