GRASS

Here is our house. Please note the lawn. That is what the blog is about. It is a beautiful fall day here in Kansas City. Blue sky, sun is shining, it is warm (60's) and the leaves are gorgeous. If you ever saw our lawn before, you will appreciate this blog even more.

Ben loves his grass. He has worked really hard over the last year and a half to get his lawn to be lush and beautiful. This fall he was determined to re-seed, water, work and sweat in order to get the lawn of his dreams. Well, his hard work has paid off. He worked really hard this fall using the verti-cutter, buying multiple bags of expensive seed and fertilizer and he watered and watered and watered. After reseeding the lawn, he checked daily for new growth. He would call with a report to tell me if he saw new growth. I wish I could have recorded the phone call when he saw the baby grass coming up. After work, we would go out and survey the new grass to see the progress. Now, we have a beautiful, lush, green lawn that is thick and makes the neighbors jealous. It has been a pretty mild, warm fall so he has continued watering and has been good about blowing the leaves off and the puppies are not allowed to go potty on the lawn. Looks like it is almost time to mow again. Not typical for the middle of November.
