My handy husband

I must say that I have the best husband in all the world. He amazes me almost everyday with the things that he does for me and others. I am sure that if I told all of the great things that this man does that every woman in the world would try to steal him from me or just be jealous of how awesome he is! Well, let me start this by saying that we have a lot of really nice things because my husband is handy and able and willing to fix anything!! We got a riding lawn mower from a family friend, it was broken but our friend knew that Ben could probably fix it so he gave it to us and we got it fixed--and actually got the parts for free but that is another story---so we now have a nice riding lawn mower. The same thing happened with a leaf blower that needed to be fixed and Ben did the job and we got the blower. Our BBQ is off the side of the road--it was put out to the trash in our neighborhood, Ben brought it home and a few hours later (if that) he had it fixed and ready for Burgers. It is not the prettiest thing to look at but it works. Back in July I was driving and saw a Refridgerator and a washing machine on the side of the road and made a mental note to tell Ben later. Well, not an hour later he went to pick up the Washer and had a load going in the Garage and he had picked up the fridge and had it fixed and ready to go. Both appliances were not very old and work!! People were throwing away perfectly good stuff!!!! Hello! So, we gave the washer to my brother and we use the other fridge in our garage for extra stuff. (very useful during the Thanksgiving cooking extravaganza) So, yesterday we were watching the Nebraska football game and a friend of mine called and needed to use the truck to get their huge big screen TV home from Cosco. So I said we would drive down and pick it up and then help deliver it. (By the way--while watching the game Ben and I were saying that it would be nice to get a new TV--something bigger than 20 inches!) So we drove down, loaded up the ginormous TV, got it straped down and headed home. We hauled the huge thing up two flights of stairs to their third floor apartment and droped it off. We see their "old" TV, a 33 inch RCA that is only two years old. They said they were just going to pitch it but if Ben wanted to try and fix it that he could take it and then we would have a nice TV. They did not really know what was wrong with it so we took it and they gave us their TV stand. So we bring it home, Ben opens it up and finds the blown fuse in about two minutes. He calls Radio Shack and has the new fuse within 20 minutes, spends $2.60 and then the TV works!!!!!!! We now have a 33 inch TV with new TV stand downstairs!!! It is crazy! I still can't believe it. Ben is awesome. He can do anything and he is not afraid of trying new things. Well, that is just the handy side of Ben---fixing things. He can do many other things. He remolded the whole kitchen, putting in a tile floor and making a concrete countertop. He remembers things that I say and surprises me all the time with gifts and other things that I have said I wanted. He is very mindful of me and always surprising me and doing really awesome things for me!! I love Ben Bailey! He is awesome!! Sometimes I think that he is too good to be true! I love him!!
