(I wish this one wasn't blurry! Oh well!)
Easter is one of my favorite holidays! I love the reason for the season. Focusing on HIM, our Savior, is always uplifting and inspiring. Church was very spiritual and a great way to spend the morning. I love the hymns and the talks at church were also very edifying.
I love the weather. I love the dresses. I love getting together with family and friends to celebrate.
We celebrated with the Bailey family a week early. The kids went on a really fun hunt. Lydia loved it. Avery caught on very quickly. Avery loved getting candy! She has learned how to open most candy and every time I looked at her she had another piece of candy stuffed in her mouth! I didn't take any pictures of this event...for various reasons...but we did have a lot fun!
Easter Sunday, we woke up to a visit from the Easter Bunny. Baskets were delivered and eggs were hidden around the house. The girls were excited about the prizes in their baskets. Ben was only here for a few minutes before he had to race off to church. Then we started getting ready for church. Lydia asked to have her hair curled. They dressed in matching Easter dresses. They looked adorable.

After church we came home for naps...then headed over to Oma and Opa's for the family festivities! Always a good time. I made dinner...Chipotle copy cat. Then the hunt was on. The little girls went first. Watching them hunt for eggs is so much fun. Then it was the adults turn. My mom says every year that she is going to stop getting us baskets and hiding eggs for us...but she just can't resist. We have too much fun. We run around looking for our hidden baskets and then our eggs. This year my siblings were hiding my eggs from me...not very nice. Then, mom and dad hid the "bonus" eggs. We race around the house like crazy to get the bonus eggs. You can only have one in your hand at a time and you have to take it back to your basket before you get another one. Very official rules! I had a good game plan and ended up getting a lot of eggs...money and a date with my dad!

(Catching Lydia on the hunt was not easy...and yes she is wearing her pajamas! Always.)

Vanessa's birthday is this week, so we celebrated her birthday also! We had a yummy assortment of cupcakes and we gave her a present. It was a lot of fun to surprise her with a little celebration.

I love this picture.
Lydia, Vanessa and I dyed eggs after the big hunt. We made some really pretty eggs. I love dying eggs...now what I make with them?!?
