TWO * 2 * II

Avery turned 2! We celebrated. She showed off and was so excited (perfect reaction for a two year old). We had family and friends over to celebrate her life. We ate cake and sugar cookies and grapes and skittles. We drank kool-aid, milk and water. Avery (and Lydia) opened presents. The adults watched the kids play with the new toys.

Avery is talking a lot these days. She says new words everyday and she has quite a few sentences that she says very well. Avery is the biggest tease. She is often caught running from her sister holding a favorite toy...she usually has a giant smile on her face and her sister is screaming behind her. Avery is very passionate; happy one moment, then crying the next. We are working on helping her to be happy more than sad. She can walk down the stairs. She can climb on the stools and chairs. She loves to play with water and splash in the bathtub. She is constantly singing happy little tunes. She smiles and cocks her head to the side and it is adorable! Her smile can light up the room! We all love her big brown eyes. Her laugh is infectious. We just love her so much and we are looking forward to celebrating many more birthdays with her! Avery is loved! There is no doubt about that.
