We got to spend time with our friends the Holbrooks! Always a lot of fun.

The puppy...that grew while we were there.

The Millard family also drove down from Boise Idaho! We were so excited to see them and glad that we were able to spend some time with them. We went to dinner, played in the hotel pool, played in the hotel room. (Lydia and Gram decided that we needed to move in to the hotel and live together.) We went to Ikea and played at the park. It was a great chance to see them and celebrate an exciting time...and Mother's Day!

Gram and Lydia had a lot of catching up to do! They sat at the park and had a chat.

We met up with Avery's birth family (my cousin and her family) at the park in Bountiful Utah. We also saw her birth great grandma (my aunt Karla) while we were in Utah. We had fun playing at the park and visiting with them. Avery was not the happiest baby girl...but she showed off a few tricks.

Monday, May 13th at 1:30 p.m. we went to the Davis county courts and appeared before Judge Morris. We went under oath. Our social worker testified on the stand for us. Our lawyer and the judge asked us some questions. Then it was official! We got the paperwork...the official adoption decree and Avery Gwen Bailey is officially our baby girl.

We passed! Time to celebrate with ice cream.

Flying home.

I didn't take my camera on this trip...so I just used my iPhone, but I think it did a pretty good job!
