A Mercedes C280. If you are not a car person then this does not mean anything to you...but I LOVE cars...and I love European cars...so the chance to drive a Mercedes was pretty awesome! I felt pretty glamorous to say the least. So...I went shopping!
My shopping experience was even great! I selected a few things and the really helpful Gretchen started a fitting room for me. By the time I made it to my room she had selected a few extra things that I might like...she was like a personal shopper...she would go and get different sizes and colors and had different ideas...it was a lot of fun and helpful...considering I was alone. I bought my first pair of white capri pants!!!! Here is a picture. I also bought this cute green and white stripped top. (not the pink cami underneath)

I also bought this next outfit. Cute, dark denim shorts...knee length...with this cute pink top and the black cardigan thing...super cute!

The only change here is the shirt. It was on sale and added pattern to my wardrobe which I drastically need! You should have seen the fitting room before Gretchen got hold of me...black, pink, plain...plain...

When I got home from shopping my Mom had sent this surprise in the mail!

She made this chalkboard...with chalkboard FABRIC...it is really cute and it rolls up so you can take it places. (Great for church or on the airplane for kids...)I LOVE chalkboards so I was very excited to receive this fun surprise in the mail. She also sent these eight spaghetti forks. She just sent those for fun...but I think I will try them out. I also think that they will make great dessert forks!
My mom is very thoughtful and is always sewing for others. She is an amazing seamstress and she is always sending really great things that she sews or quilts! Love her!!!!!! (Thanks Mom! I love it!)
Ben got us tickets to Starlight. Four pretty sweet box seats. The weather was questionable because they were calling for severe thunderstorms...but we went armed with panchos and umbrellas. We took Julie and she brought Josh along. The musical was "The Drowsy Chaperon" I had never heard of this musical but it was really good. Very entertaining! We had a great time. It got CHILLY here in KC last night though...after the front moved in cold air came behind it. So, I went to the gift shop and bought this sweet sweatshirt...doesn't it look great with my grass green skirt??? I had to buy Ben a blanket too because he was chilly. Needless to say we now have a sweatshirt and a blanket that say Starlight Theater on them...like we are season ticket holders or something!

Overall, it was a really fun day. I must say...once I got my car back...I realized that I have a pretty sweet car. The Mercedes was nice...but my car has many of the same options and luxury...and it has more TURBO! So, I am still in love with my car...it still makes me happy when I see it. :-) That is a good sign.
Today will not be as exciting. I will workout...clean...do laundry...make dinner...probably watch a movie tonight (Ben will be at scout camp)...it is probably good that I will stay home because then I will not be spending money! A bad habit during the summer.

You look super cute in your outfits! You reminded me of one of my fav fashion blogs. I am so glad you took pics. Isn't Mom the best? I love her so much because she does such great things for us and our family. She rocks. I knew you would love your chalkboard!
Love you! See you in a few weeks!
Cute outfits! I'm envying your shopping spree...without children especially. You got to try stuff on at the store? You didn't have to go home to feed/nap only to return your purchase later? Too cool.
WOW! You SO didn't need me! What a fun day! Love all the outfits (especially the starlight ones...hhehe!) I have seen that chalkboard fabric and KNEW that someone would come up with really cool things to do with it! What a fun present in the mail! :) miss you!
You are fast rising on my list of "Coolest Married People I Know".
I keep the list short for exclusiveness.
