Maybe it is the German in me or the environmentalist in me or just the good heart that I have...I have gone GREEN. I have wanted to buy cloth sacks for quite some time now. I figured that if it is good enough for the Germans then it is good enough for me. I have noticed that the amount of plastic sacks I have been getting from the grocery store is a little insane and actually pretty hard to carry and load into my car. The idea and visual image of plastic sacks filling up the local landfill was also getting to me. I just feel like I need to do my part. So, on this day, the fifth of December, I purchased 5 Go Green bags at the grocery store. (They were only 99 cents! A bargain really.) I bought 60 dollars worth of groceries and only used two of the sacks (pictured above) and carried one jug of apple juice in my hand. My overall impression of the bags is as follows: Spacious enough for a good amount of groceries, they stood up in my car and did not spill all over my car, they were easy to bring in, after unpacking them I put them back in my car to use next time I go the grocery store, I am looking forward to even using them at Costco (if the items I buy there are not too JUMBO sized), I feel better about myself for contributing to the environment in this small way!!!!

way to go! (you found some cheap ones...weren't we talking about that?) anywho...I bet you look so cute and green and trendy-like (in an earth conscious kind of way) with your green sacks!
I can't believe I didn't catch you blogging before. I have some catching up to do!!
Love the pics! You're so cute and fun.
Where did you go to get your tree? How much did they cost??? I still haven't got a tree yet, and I need to get on the stick.
Yay Margaret! That is awesome, and a great idea - but then what would I use as trash liners in my little trash cans throughout the house (Bathrooms, office, etc)? Love you!
